Florian Wirtz picked up an ankle injury in Liverpool's 2-0 win over Brighton
Liverpool are finally hitting their stride, having strung together four successive victories since their 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Manchester City earlier this month. Andoni Iraola's tenure began somewhat shakily, but the Reds have found their feet.
Sunday's 2-0 triumph over Brighton was arguably their most commanding performance of the campaign, with a Pascal Gross own goal and an Alexander Isak strike wrapping up the three points for Liverpool. The result brought an end to Brighton's run of four straight wins and five consecutive clean sheets.
Liverpool also became the first side in the Premier League to prevent Brighton from finding the net this season. By any measure, it was a thoroughly satisfying afternoon for the Merseyside outfit.
Nevertheless, with injury worries mounting and a "scary" warning doing the rounds, supporters have plenty to contemplate. Here, we round up the very latest Liverpool headlines.
Liverpool told they look 'scary'
Liverpool are appearing "scary" at present and will be instilling fear into their competitors, according to Match of the Day pundit Ashley Williams.
Following a sluggish start to the campaign, Liverpool have gained momentum and are now playing quick, flowing football. Furthermore, several of their key performers are hitting peak form, including Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Bradley Barcola.

Williams reckons this demonstrates that Liverpool are serious contenders and could soon be breathing down the necks of Arsenal and Manchester City. "Iraola is the type of manager that defends well," the Welshman said on Match of the Day.
"He doesn't waste time and try to build up too slowly. If he can go fast, with the pace that he has at the top of the pitch, then he does it. Now he has got those players like Bradley Barcola, Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak. If they are all fit and they are on the pitch, he is not going to waste any time.
"They get the ball forward, they are dynamic, and we know it is difficult to defend against pace - especially pace and willing runners in behind. We are seeing signs of an Iraola team, which is scary for the rest of the league as they just creep up."
Wirtz injury update
Wirtz has moved to reassure fans that the knock he sustained against Brighton "isn't too bad." The German was brought on in the 65th minute before appearing to twist his ankle in a challenge.
The incident sparked considerable anxiety, particularly given the impressive form the £116million midfielder had shown during the match. However, Wirtz was swift to ease concerns following the final whistle. "I think it should be alright," he said. "It's not too bad. I don't know much yet, we have to check it, but it won't be long."
Supporters will be hoping to see Wirtz feature when Liverpool face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. The fixture sees the Reds come up against a side led by former Anfield legend Xabi Alonso, who previously managed Wirtz at Bayer Leverkusen.
