Biography

Dominik Szoboszlai joined Liverpool FC in the summer of 2023 and was an integral part of the team that won the Premier League title two years later.

The Hungary captain played in 36 of 38 top-flight games in 2024-25 as the Reds were crowned champions, and he then followed that up with another superb campaign that saw him voted Standard Chartered Men’s Player of the Season for 2025-26.

He made the switch to Anfield from RB Leipzig after two-and-a-half years with the Bundesliga club, with whom he lifted the DFB-Pokal twice.

Szoboszlai’s first season at Liverpool, under Jürgen Klopp, saw him score seven times from 45 appearances and claim a Carabao Cup winner's medal for playing a part in the journey to Wembley, though he ultimately missed the final due to injury.

Szoboszlai was key to the Premier League title glory under Arne Slot and was then the team’s outstanding individual player across a difficult 2025-26 season.

The No.8 totalled 13 goals – including several stunning free-kicks – and 12 assists from 53 matches and also passed the 100-appearance mark for the club.
