Andoni Iraola has confirmed his Liverpool starting XI to take on Brighton in the Premier League, with decisions being made on Bradley Barcola and Cody Gakpo at Anfield
Liverpool attacking trio Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Bradley Barcola are back in from the start as the Reds take on Brighton in the Premier League, looking to build on some promising recent performances.
Alisson Becker is in goal, with Ronald Araujo chosen at right-back. Jeremy Jacquet and Virgil van Dijk are the center-backs, with Milos Kerkez returning to the side at left-back having been handed a rest midweek.
Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister are in midfield, with Wirtz as the number 10. Barcola will be on the left, Isak through the center, and Cody Gakpo on the right. Rio Ngumoha, who was excellent against Villarreal, is among the subs.
Dominik Szoboszlai and Victor Munoz are among those sidelined with injuries at the moment, alongside long-term absentees like Hugo Ekitike and Conor Bradley.
Liverpool has three home games this week, with Chelsea in the Carabao Cup to come on Wednesday, before the visit of Arsenal next weekend. It will also face Fenerbahce and Crystal Palace away before the November international break.
"Momentum is a big thing in football, and it is important that we maintain ours," Liverpool captain Van Dijk writes in the official matchday program.
"After three wins in a row, there is definitely a good feeling within the group right now, but that will count for nothing unless we follow up with another strong performance.
"Brighton arrive here in great form and will provide a really good test for us.
"They have good players and have been performing at a very high level this season, so we will need to be at our very best if we want to come away with all three points.
"I think Tuesday night's Champions League win over Villarreal showed what I have been talking about pretty much all season: we are moving in the right direction, but we still have a long way to go, a lot of work to do.
"The first half, and the first half an hour in particular, was not the best — and I definitely include myself in that — and we found ourselves behind, deservedly so.
But if that was the negative side, the positive was the way we responded, as a team, to that situation.
"We battled our way back into the game and our performance in the second half was much improved, and that was enough to win us the game in the end. I said before Villarreal that winning is a habit, and it is a habit that breeds confidence within a squad."
Liverpool team: Alisson; Araujo, Jacquet, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Gakpo, Wirtz, Barcola; Isak.
