Having faced Tottenham in the previous round of the Carabao Cup, Liverpool is now set to take on another Premier League side from London in the form of Chelsea.
Xabi Alonso and Jordan Henderson will return to Anfield with the Blues, and while both teams are expected to make some changes to their starting XIs, it should be an entertaining game. It will head straight to penalties if there is a tie in normal time.
"Straight after our game against Brighton on Sunday I was asked how happy I was that the team had made it four wins in a row and I said I was very happy," Andoni Iraola writes in the official matchday program.
"This is obvious of course but there is another side to winning that is also very important — it leaves you wanting more.
"It does not matter what competition we are playing in, what team we select or what the general situation is, we always want to win and that feeling only grows when you know what it means to earn a victory.
"It is also made bigger by the knowledge that in every game that we play our opponents will have exactly the same ambition and this will definitely be the case tonight when we play a very strong Chelsea team."

Barcola excellence
The Frenchman comes close with a fantastic solo effort, exploding from the right hand side to the middle of the field before unleashing a shot which is pushed behind for a corner.
End-to-end!
Liverpool come close with Ronald Araujo's header being saved by Penders, before a Chelsea counter is well dealt with by Joe Gomez.
The game is coming alive a bit now...
James McConnell and Lewis Koumas leave the game
Tough games before both Liverpool youngsters, as they depart the game before the hour mark while both on yellow cards.
Barcola will play from the right hand side with Ngumoha on the left.
Slow second-half
Not a lot of action so far, but we are about to see Florian Wirtz and Bradley Barcola enter the game.
We're back
We are underway in the second-half with Morgan Rogers having an early chance, getting the ball under control and forcing Mamadashvili into a save.
Half-time Player Ratings | Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
A penalty apiece at half-time, with Cody Gakpo canceling out Morgan Rogers' opener. It's not been a game filled with quality, but it has at least come to life in the last few minutes.

Ronald Araujo (6)
Virgil van Dijk (7)
Kostas Tsimikas (6)
Trey Nyoni (6)

HT: Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
It's not been the most exciting game of football with both teams very sloppy in attack, but they go into half-time a goal each after finishes from the spot.
GOAL - Liverpool (Gakpo)
Now it's Liverpool who score from the spot with Gakpo sending Mike Penders the wrong way. A nice penalty!
Penalty to Liverpool
It's a hand ball by Chelsea in the box and the Reds get a penalty. It's Wesley Fofana who handles it.
GOAL - Chelsea (Rogers)
Morgan Rogers sends Giorgi Mamardashvili the wrong way to open the scoring.
It was a really bad challenge by Gravenberch to give it away.
Penalty to Chelsea
It's an extremely poor challenge from Ryan Gravenberch as Moises Caicedo gets the wrong side of him. A penalty is correctly given.
Liverpool's struggles in the final third
The Reds are seeing much more of the ball and are the more active team in the middle of the field, but their decisions in the final third have been really poor so far.
James McConnell, Lewis Koumas and Cody Gakpo are really struggling, while Rio Ngumoha looks incredibly dangerous when in possession.
Trey Nyoni is impressing in the midfield of the park.
Bright start for Rio Ngumoha
The 18-year-old has gone on two fantastic solo runs in the past two minutes, while winning a corner for the Reds.
James McConnell mistake
The Liverpool midfielder has a ball played into him, then takes a brutal first touch, losing the ball before deliberately handling it to stop a Chelsea counter. He's been yellow-carded.
No real shots on goal yet... we have played 22 minutes!
Trey Nyoni and Liverpool's defense
Trey Nyoni has been bright to start the game, winning the ball in midfield before coming close to playing Cody Gakpo through for a chance.
Meanwhile, Ronald Araujo is alongside Virgil van Dijk at center-back with Joe Gomez at right-back.
Jordan Henderson reception
The Liverpool legend is receiving some boo's from a small section of Anfield supporters, but it appears that fans are indifferent right now.
A surprise change!
We all assumed it would be Lewis Koumas up top, but instead it's Cody Gakpo leading the line, with Koumas playing on the right.
That's a pretty big blow to Federico Chiesa, with Koumas playing out of position ahead of the Italian in his natural role.

James McConnell
It's a big opportunity for McConnell who is likely to play in an advanced role today.
Whether he has any kind of future at Liverpool is in question, but he could put himself in the shop window with a good performance here.
Andoni Iraola explains his team selection
The Liverpool head coach has made seven changes in a youthful Liverpool team, which takes on a strong Chelsea first-team.
He told Sky Sports, "We need fresh legs. A lot of players are waiting for this competition to have their starts and minutes. They are pushing hard, the young players, so I trust they can perform well.
"I think the bench is going to be very important. A lot of games are decided in second halves and we have good options on the bench.”
Alexander Isak, Bradley Barcola, Florian Wirtz and Alexis Mac Allister are all on the bench for tonight's game. Federico Chiesa could also feature.
Jordan Henderson starts
Jordan Henderson is set to start for Chelsea, with an intriguing moment coming up when his name is read up in front of the Liverpool crowd after his exit in 2023.
He received a warm welcome from Liverpool fans in May when he played for Brentford... but his move to Chelsea may have changed how some fans feel for him.
